These penalties change from time to time and vary from county to county in terms of the ways in which sentences are enforced or served. It’s critically important that you speak to one of the DUI Experts and Benari Law. Our attorneys make it their business to master the intricacies of each county in order to maximize the benefits we provide to each and every DUI Client.
It is also important to note that the penalties increase dramatically for subsequent offenses, although there is a lookback period of 10 years. In other words, a first DUI in ten years will be technically sentenced as a first DUI even though it’s not really a first offense. That being said, prosecutors will often ask for longer sentences when it’s not your first offense, even if it is a first within ten years, so it’s very important that you have a Benari Law DUI Lawyer with you in court to minimize the sentence.
