Melissa is a Magna Cum Laude of the University of Scranton where she received her Master’s Degree in history and her Bachelor’s Degree in both History and Political Science, all in four years. She graduated from one of the top trial schools in the country, Temple Law School, where she was a member of Temple’s prestigious National Trial Team, and was ranked first in the country. She began her career in the District Attorney’s Office of Luzerne County where she worked for three years after completing internships with the Army JAG in Vicenza, Italy, the U.S. Attorney’s Office; and for a Municipal Court Judge in Philadelphia.
Melissa is a courtroom rock star, winning cases after case for over twenty years throughout Chester County and the Greater Philadelphia Area. Melissa is a practiced and skilled criminal trial attorney who has concentrated her practice in Criminal Defense Law for over 20 years, with highlights including representing a murder Defendant found on America’s Most Wanted, and having won a murder acquittal in Chester County in 2014. She was the recipient of a community service award presented to her for outstanding legal representation and service to the people of Coatesville in 2015, and has had numerous other recognitions from the legal and justice community.
